With its colourful history as a Coaching Inn, prison and army barracks the hotel now offers a relaxing venue for a break, meal or a quiet drink. The Hotel is situated in the heart of the Machars and offers an excellent base to explore this beautiful and often forgotten part of Scotland.
The hotel has been undergoing refurbishment and the results have made it all worthwhile. The hotel bedrooms have been fully refurbished with new windows, fixtures and fittings. The next phase will see the function room and dining room refurbished.
We will be open for business throughout and will work to ensure that any disruption is kept to a bare minimum. We hope to complete the majority of the work when the hotel is quietest to ensure your time with us is as relaxing as possible.
